Awwww Venice. A weekend full of surprises good and bad...mostly bad, but we still had a wonderful time. For starters, our train was suppose to leave at 8:36 Saturday morning, and of course it was canceled. After running around the train station trying to figure out the next train leaving for Venice, we found out the next train wasn't leaving until 10:40. It wasn't too bad, but still a bummer since we had only planned on having one day there, which probably wasn't enough time to begin with.

These are the "buses" in Venice. Kind of like the CyRide...only in water.

So shortly after seeing the Rialto Bridge (the one at night, the one during the day was actually the next day...my pictures are way out of order), we had an interesting situation including the biggest Italian pervert, rats the size of my face, and being trapped in a dark alley. I had a minor panic attack, but its ok, we all survived.

We heard Venice had really bad food, but I thought "how bad could it really be?" Well we found out. I got pasta that tasted worse than smart ones frozen dinners. You can see the disgust on Kat and mine's faces.

Don't ever go here.

I loved all of the masks in Venice! I decided that when I get back to the States I am going to have a Masquerade Ball. I'm not sure of the date, but you're all invited.

At least our hotel had breakfast for us in the morning. It wasn't too hard to mess up.

This is the hotel we found, after hours of searching. We ended up getting a really good deal, and it was a nice place...and free breakfast.

The last three pictures are us on a bridge overlooking the Grand Canal.

Since our trip was delayed, we got an early start Sunday morning. We beat all the tourists, as you can see.

Aww, I'm so glad Abbey will do these dorky super-touristy poses with me.

Christmas decorations already! Please take note of this mans wedgie.

Alissa and I on the gondola. I am moving back to Venice to marry the gondola man. He was beautiful, and probably the tallest Italian I've seen since I've been here.

Fall colors...so pretty!!

Ew sick. Why do people touch pigeons, and let the sit on their head...disgusting. Do you know how many diseases pigeons carry. Google it. You'll never touch a pigeon again. Don't be like this man.

However, it is pretty cute when kids chase them around.

Sorry Iowa State, but this campanile is much cooler.

More of our hotel.

We were going to go have a coffee at this little cafe in the Piazza San Marco. We sat down and looked at the menu and the cheapest drink was 10 euro.No thank.

You feel like you're in this village in the 1800's until you see an ad like this. However, not having to worry about being ran over by cars and bikes was quite refreshing. More than I can say for Florence.

I don't know why I have such a disgusted look on my face. It doesn't get much better than drink coffee in Venice, especially when it only costs 3 euro, apposed to 10. Maybe we were being attacked by pigeons. Good guess for being in Venice.

These last four pictures are of the "Ghetto of Venice". Yes thats really what the call it. Its a Jewish part of town, and was alot different from the rest of the city. It was neat to see the drastic difference.
I'm so far behind on posts, so I'm going to keep this one short. At least you have lots of pictures to look at. Happy Halloween, Veterans Day, and any birthdays or other holidays I missed.
Stay tuned for PARIGI! My dream city!!
